Ruining Dreams
I was singing in the shower last night and Lauren got a sad look on her face.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
“I’m very much like you, aren’t I?” she asked with a frown.
“I guess so. We have the same hair and the same face. So?”
“That means I’m gonna get your voice when I get older. And you can’t sing. Which means I can’t be a pop star. And that’s what I had planned. I was gonna make at least a thousand dollars and now I won’t. And I was going to give you money too, but now you won’t get any of it either.” She was practically in tears as she wound down her tirade. “And it’s all because you can’t sing.”

Poor Lauren. Tell her the good news is, most pop stars nowadays can’t sing, either! All she has to do is wear tight-fitting/revealing clothing and find the right producer who can digitally alter her voice in the studio. Voila! The dream still lives (and most importantly, you still get your share of that thousand dollars!)!

Apparently the cards were race tracks. Who knew? They were supposed to connect so the cars could drive around in an organized fashion. So all the time I thought Drew was playing “Mess”, he was really forming an array of highly evolved race tracks.
